Focus and Scope
Islam and Digital Humanities (IDIH) is an international peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing scholarly research at the intersection of Islamic Studies and Digital Humanities. The journal aims to explore how digital technologies are transforming the study, interpretation, and lived experience of Islam in contemporary global contexts.
IDIH seeks to provide a multidisciplinary platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners to critically engage with the digital transformation of Islamic knowledge, culture, and society. The journal promotes innovative methodologies, including computational analysis, digital ethnography, and data-driven approaches in the study of Islam.
Scope
The journal welcomes original research articles, review articles, and conceptual papers in, but not limited to, the following area:
- Digital Islamic Textual Studies: Digital Qur’anic studies and computational tafsir, Digital hadith analysis and authentication, Corpus linguistics in Islamic texts, Text mining and semantic analysis of classical and contemporary Islamic literature.
