Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to Islam and Digital Humanities (IDIH) undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

The review process consists of the following stages:

  1. Initial Editorial Assessment
The editorial team evaluates the manuscript for scope suitability, formatting compliance, and plagiarism screening.

  2. Reviewer Assignment
The manuscript is assigned to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise.

  3. Review Process
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, methodological rigor, clarity of argument, and contribution to the field.

  4. Editorial Decision
Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the editor may decide to:

    • Accept without revision

    • Accept with minor revisions

    • Request major revisions

    • Reject the manuscript

  5. Revision and Final Decision
Authors must revise the manuscript according to reviewers’ comments before final acceptance.

The average review time is approximately 3–6 weeks.
