Publication Ethics

TIslam and Digital Humanities (IDIH) is committed to upholding high standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. All parties involved in the publication process — authors, editors, and reviewers — are expected to adhere to ethical standards.

1. Authors’ Responsibilities

Authors must:

  • Submit original work that has not been published or submitted elsewhere.

  • Properly cite all sources and references.

  • Ensure that the manuscript does not contain plagiarism.

  • Present accurate data and avoid fabrication, falsification, or manipulation.

  • Disclose any conflicts of interest.

  • Acknowledge all contributors appropriately.

  • Participate in the peer review process and respond to revision requests in a timely manner.

2. Editors’ Responsibilities

Editors are responsible for:

  • Evaluating manuscripts based on academic merit and relevance to the journal’s scope.

  • Maintaining confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.

  • Ensuring a fair, unbiased, and timely review process.

  • Avoiding conflicts of interest in editorial decisions.

  • Taking appropriate action in cases of ethical misconduct.

3. Reviewers’ Responsibilities

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Conduct objective and constructive evaluations.

  • Maintain confidentiality of the manuscript.

  • Provide clear and reasoned feedback.

  • Declare any conflicts of interest.

  • Identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.

4. Plagiarism Policy

JDITH applies plagiarism screening to all submitted manuscripts. Manuscripts with significant similarity or evidence of plagiarism will be rejected.

5. Ethical Misconduct

In cases of suspected misconduct (plagiarism, duplicate submission, data fabrication, etc.), the editorial team will investigate and may reject, retract, or take other appropriate actions in accordance with academic standards.
